I was born in San Antonio, Texas, and grew up in several Texas cities. My family eventually moved to Kaufman, Texas,
in 1978. I graduated from Kaufman High School in 1982 and met my future wife later that same year.
My wife, Dale Ann, and I were married in 1986. We have been blessed with a wonderful marriage and three beautiful
daughters; Stacianne, Karlie and Rylee.
We owned and operated a successful construction business from 1990 to 1999. When I accepted Jesus Christ as my
Savior during a revival in 1994 at the age of 30, God blessed us even more. He blessed us financially but more importantly,
He blessed us with a good church family and many friends. It was through these blessings at First Baptist Church of Kaufman
that I grew spiritually, taught Sunday School, and eventually was ordained as a Deacon.
In 1998 I felt the call of God once again. I soon found myself discussing with my family the possibility of closing
the business and serving God in full time ministry, not knowing exactly what that meant! In December 1999 we found ourselves
at First Baptist Church of Pampa in view of a call.
I had little hope of being called to this church due to the church's rich heritage and my lack of formal education
and experience. God again reminded me that He is bigger than any obstacle, when First Baptist Church of Pampa did in fact
call us to serve.
Our time here has gone by so quickly and has been filled with many growing opportunities. God has taught me that,
if you simply love the people and serve Him in complete obedience, you can overcome any obstacle!
I look forward to what God has in store for my family and my church. It is truly an exciting time in the life of
First Baptist Church and I hope you will consider sharing in it with us.
