I am a hometown boy, born and raised right here in Pampa and I grew up here at First Baptist Church, where I was baptized
in 1989 and surrendered to the ministry in 1999. I later graduated from Pampa High in 2000. I then spent the next four years
at Oklahoma Baptist University, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, graduating with a B.A. in Bible with a minor in Anthropology.
My wife, Karmen, also graduated that year from Oklahoma Baptist with a B.A. in Bible but with a minor in English as a Second
Language. Karmen is from just down the road having grown up in Panhandle, Texas and graduated from Panhandle High in 2000.
We met in 2000 and were married in December of 2002.
In the fall of 2004 we left the United States and headed for the Middle East for two years. We studied Arabic and traveled;
while Karmen taught English and I studied Arab culture. We returned in November of 2006 with a deep love for Arabs and a greater
appreciation of Middle Eastern culture and the Arabic language.
I began working as the student minister here at First Baptist in January of 2007. I have previously served here as both
a youth intern and interim student minister. I have also served in Oklahoma as both a student minister and interim pastor.
Karmen is an integral part of the student ministry here at FBC as she has just as strong a call to ministry and desire to
serve as anyone.
Karmen and I look forward to meeting and serving with you. Welcome to First Baptist.
